         Take this clay and fashion it in your hands.
         This new life begun in search of your truth,
         Church renewed, inclusive and true,
         Life to dwell in your bountiful love each day.

1. Like the tide that meets the seashore, 
   You come in to our lives,
   Sweeping clear the rifts that hold us from you.
   With each footprint washed behind us,
   We're challenged to walk forth,
   Following the footprints marked by you ... 

2. In the blessing of our children,
   Your promise of new life
   Is made real each time we hold them so near.
   In their growing pains and pleasures,
   We feel a common bond.
   That sure hand behind us all is yours ....
